QCS' Mold Remediation
Our specialist will inspect the affected area(s) for structural and/or construction defect(s), or and maintenance neglect that has allowed moisture to enter the structure. If mold growth is present, we will provide you with a detailed protocol in remediating the affected area(s). QCS uses independent third party mold inspection companies to render all post-clearance testing on all of our remediation projects in order to protect our customers from any potential conflicts of interest.
Molds are simple, microscopic organisms, present virtually everywhere, indoors and outdoors. Molds, along with mushrooms and yeasts, are fungi and are needed to break down dead material and recycle nutrients in the environment. For molds to grow and reproduce, they need only a food source - any organic material, such as leaves, wood, paper, or dirt and moisture.
Our Steps Against Mold!
A visual inspection and testing is the initial step in identifying possible mold contamination problems. The technician will identify any visible water leaks or moisture stains on ceilings, walls, floors or under counters.
The technician combines a visual inspection along with air, tape or swab sampling. We also check your moisture and humidity levels. This sampling is sent to the lab to identify specific types of mold.
After the problem is identified, evaluating certified protocol then we can plan for the type of cleaning that is required for your mold type to prevent future contamination.
